I have recently accepted the Marketing Coordinator position at Corner Greer Architects in Joplin, MO. I am awkwardly ecstatic and insanely thankful for this opportunity that lies ahead. In the design world, it is immensely difficult to get ahold of designers within a firm, let alone set up a meeting with them. This is definitely something that I had been praying about since the start of the semester because I knew Jacob had another year of school left after I would graduate. I knew I needed to stick local, and CGA was the firm I had always had my eyes on. I knew they were the one, but didn’t know if I had something they would want.

Long story short, the lead architect, Chad Greer, was interested in having me come in to the office to “talk.” So…interview? Kind of, maybe? I didn’t really know, nor did I care, all I cared about was the fact that I got a chance to meet the team and potentially get my foot in the door. I wanted to do anything. I would’ve cleaned the bathrooms hourly if it meant a shot at becoming a designer with CGA!

I had previously approached him with questioning on what I could do my last two semesters in school to increase my chances of having a job lined up when I would graduate. Do I need to perfect my skills at AutoCAD? I’m used to using Revit, is that okay? What about Sketchup? These were just some basic questions that I felt the need to have answers to.

Chad got right back with me, and a couple months later, we met and discussed the opportunities that would lie ahead for me in becoming a part of the firm. SWEET DREAMS! The stars have not left my eyes. I couldn’t believe it! You want me to be a part of your team? WHAAAAAT. Stop.

Haha okay. So, here I am. The Marketing Coordinator for Corner Greer & Associates. Here are a few things that are a part of my job description:

-Website Management

-Social media management

-Marketing tasks

-Business Development support

-Interior Design Services and support

I’ve started to realize I have an insane passion for making small businesses known throughout the community, and basically the world. Marketing is everything. You can have an incredible business, and do everything right, but if you don’t take the time (or hire someone to do it for you) to put yourself out there on the web for the world to see, then who’s going to notice? Your community will notice, and word of mouth does wonders, but where do grow from there?

I still have so stinking much to learn, but I am thankful for where I am. I’m thankful for the opportunities God has laid out for me, and I cannot wait to see how He uses me and molds me through these changes. I love change.

Thank you for reading & hanging out. Feel free to view my new profile at CGA!
